We are carrying out work (day, night, weekends) that will be divided into several phases, all along Boulevard Clovis - Square Ambiorix - Boulevard Charlemagne.

What work are we carrying out?

Some of the arches of the Clovis tunnel date back to 1890. Their renewal is now necessary in order to guarantee both the safety of rail operations and the safety of surface road users.

What are the different stages of this project?

  • Preparation: from 14 October to 15 November – Daytime work during the week (Monday to Friday).
  • Demolition: from 16 November to 8 December – Daytime work during the week as well as without interruption at weekends (from midnight on Friday until midnight on Sunday evening).
  • Construction of the base and the new roof: from 9 December to 13 March – Daytime work during the week (Monday to Friday).
  • Installation of the new roof: from 14 March to 12 April – Daytime work during the week as well as without interruption at weekends (from midnight on Friday until midnight on Sunday evening) and (Easter) Monday 13 April round the clock.
  • Work on new emergency exits and coordination of utilities: from 14 April to end 2020 – Daytime work during the week (Monday to Friday).

What impact will this have on you?

The road will be closed to traffic from 14 November until summer 2020. Pedestrian traffic will still be allowed.
Deviations will be implemented, both for vehicles and for some public transport. These deviation measures will be communicated by the City of Brussels and the companies concerned.
